The return policies of Groupon vary based on the sort of goods you purchase.
Depending on the sort of coupon you purchased, you may be able to return it.
Local vouchers, Groupon Goods, Groupon Getaways, Groupon Live, and BeautyNow are all returnable within a specified time frame and under certain conditions.
Hereās a breakdown of the different refund policies based on the type of offer you bought.
- Local vouchers
Unless the Fine Print states otherwise, vouchers purchased for items or services from local companies are eligible for refunds if self-canceled within one day of purchase.
Within three days of purchasing a coupon, you can call Groupon customer service to cancel it and receive a refund.
Even if you are unable to obtain a refund for your voucher, you may use it as a credit at the business that provided the discount ā even if the promotion for which the voucher was issued has ended.
In that instance, the value of your voucher is equal to the price you paid for it.
- Groupon Getaways
If the merchant offering the voucher is unable to get you in on any of the available days after you purchase it via Groupon Getaways, contact customer service before the book-by date and they will reimburse your purchase.
If you miss the book-by date on your voucher, you can still use it as credit toward the advertised trip up to the price you paid for it.
If you book a getaway using a coupon or directly through the website, youāll be bound by the merchantās refund and cancellation rules, which are laid out in the dealās Fine Print.

- Groupon Goods
If you cancel your order within 2 hours of ordering it or return everything you ordered within 30 days of receiving it, you are entitled to a refund on items purchased directly from Groupon Goods.

If the event is canceled or rescheduled, you can also obtain a refund.
You will be automatically refunded if the event is canceled and not rescheduled.
If the event is rescheduled and you are unable to attend, contact customer care for a refund.
- BeautyNow
A BeautyNow booking isnāt charged until after itās completed; if you cancel it within the merchantās given time period, youāll get a full refund.
However, if you fail to cancel your appointment in a timely manner and miss it, you will not be eligible for a refund and will be charged the full retail amount of the service.
There are two more items to highlight about Grouponās refund policy, all of which are related to particular scenarios.
The āGroupon Promiseā and Final Sales
Grouponās regular refund policies do not apply to any offer that says āall sales final,ā āfinal sale,ā or something similar in the Fine Print.
As a result, if you purchase one of these offers, you will not be able to return the products or receive a refund.

- You have had a sufficiently negative experience with a product or service purchased through Groupon, or via one of your non-expired orders, or you have experienced fraud while using Groupon.
- Before you may utilize the voucher, the merchant who gave it to you goes out of business.
- You book a service only to be told that you are ineligible for it later.
- Even when a voucher for a product or service hasnāt expired and you fulfill all of its eligibility conditions, a firm refuses to accept it.

So, within two weeks after using a coupon, returning from a vacation, or attending an event where one or more of these scenarios occurred, contact Grouponās customer care staff.
They will work with you to obtain a refund or provide you with adequate compensation in another way.

How to Cancel a Groupon Voucher
If you buy a Groupon coupon for a local company or a vacation, you can cancel it for a full refund within one day of purchase.
If you bought the coupon-less than three days ago, you can request a refund from customer care.
To cancel a Groupon voucher order on your own, follow these steps:
- STEP 1: Go to Groupon.com or the Groupon mobile app,
- STEP 2: Sign in to your account, and select Customer Support.
- STEP 3: Select the voucher you wish to cancel by clicking About an Order and then selecting it.
- STEP 4: To cancel an order, select Cancel Order.
- STEP 5: To finalize the order cancellation, follow the instructions that display.
IMPORTANT:
If you have previously viewed a voucher, you will not be able to self-cancel it.
You cannot self-cancel a gift certificate you give or receive; you must contact customer support and/or the original purchaser to get it reimbursed.

You can only self-cancel a coupon purchased with Apple Pay using the Groupon mobile app.

How to return Groupon Goods Orders
Returning and receiving a refund for a physical item will differ depending on whether you purchased it directly from Groupon or from one of its third-party merchants (branded as āMarketplaceā).
- STEP 1: If you purchased directly from Groupon Goods, log in to Groupon.com or the Groupon mobile app.
- STEP 2: Go to My Groupons for more information.
- STEP 3: Next to the order you wish to return, click View Details.
- STEP 4: On the following screen, choose Return Package and print your prepaid mailing label.
- STEP 5: Return your order by attaching the Groupon return label to it and mailing it back.
Returning an item purchased via Groupon Goods is a simple process.
Thatās all there is to it!
Returns are normally handled within 1 to 2 business days, with refunds taking at least 10 business days to complete.
If you purchased from a Groupon Goods Marketplace third-party seller:
- Log in to Groupon.com or the Groupon mobile app.
- Choose My Groupons.
- Next to the order, you wish to return, click View Details.
- Use your Groupon account credentials to access the Groupon Marketplace Customer Center.
- Select Contact Merchant, complete the form on the next page and click Send.
After at least 72 hours, you should receive a response from the seller.
When a return label is ready, they will email it to you, and all you have to do then is attach it to your order and ship it back to the merchant.
Theyāll tell customer service when they have their things back, and youāll get a reimbursement within 2-3 weeks.
IMPORTANT:
When returning products to Groupon or one of their third-party vendors, you must use a Groupon-branded return label.
You will not be eligible for a refund if you use a generic mailing label!
How do you cancel a Groupon Getaway booking?
The conditions of the cancellation policy youāre under ā whether itās directly from the website or from the specific merchant selling the deal ā will determine your ability to cancel and obtain a refund for a Getaways purchase.
If you purchased a getaway deal voucher:
The terms are the same as if you were returning a standard order.
If itās been less than a day since you purchased the voucher and you havenāt yet watched it:

- Choose which coupon youād want to return
- Select Cancel Order from the menu
- To confirm your cancellation, follow the steps shown on the screen
If you acquired the coupon-less than three days ago ā if the merchant giving the discount is unable to book you in for your desired dates before the book-by date:

- Choose which coupon youād want to return.

IMPORTANT:
Refunds for Groupon Getaways are subject to third-party merchant approval first.
When you use your coupon to book a reservation with the merchant who is giving the discount, you are subject to the merchantās cancellation policy, which is detailed in the Fine Print.
Additionally, you must contact the store directly to cancel your reservation before contacting Groupon about a refund.
If you made a flexible reservation directly through Groupon, you are subject to the dealās cancellation policy, which is specified in the Fine Print by the merchant selling the deal.
If you are still inside the cancellation window, you may cancel your reservation, in the same manner, you would a standard voucher:
Go via Groupon Customer Support to cancel your purchase, or contact customer care and have them assist you.
NOTE:

If you used Groupon to reserve a fixed āMarket Pickā reservation:
This sort of reservation cannot be self-canceled under any circumstances.
You can, however, ask customer support to cancel it for you as long as you follow the deal-specific cancellation rules outlined in the Fine Print by the providing merchant.
You may or may not be eligible for a refund, depending on the policy.Ā
Returning GrouponLive Tickets
Some GrouponLive tickets can be returned in the same way as regular vouchers can.
If you havenāt seen your tickets yet, contact Customer Support, explain that youāre enquiring about an order, pick your tickets, click Cancel Order, and complete the rest of the procedure to complete the return.
You have till midnight on the day of your purchase to do so.
NOTE:
Unless otherwise indicated in the Fine Print of a GrouponLive offer, most tickets are considered āfinal saleā and cannot be returned.
The Extraordinary Event Policy, on the other hand, does include some exclusions.
What is covered under the Extraordinary Event Policy?
You will immediately receive a refund if the event for which you purchased a voucher or pass is canceled permanently ā there is no need to do anything!
If the event is rescheduled and you are unable to attend on the new date, you must contact their customer service department to receive a refund.
Itās pretty much the same as seeking a refund for a standard voucher:
- Go to Customer Support and select About an Order after logging into your account.
- Select the tickets to return
- Click I Need More Help
- Simply type whatever you want, choose a help subject, and then click No, I Still Need Help.
- Contact customer support and sort things out using the methods provided.
PRO HINT:
The Extraordinary Event Policy does not apply to purchases made through third parties.
The Extraordinary Event Policy does not apply if Groupon sends you to a third-party website to complete your event ticket purchase.
However, the site from which you purchased may have its own refund policy, so if things go wrong, contact their customer care department to see if you can work something out.
What to do if you need to cancel a BeautyNow appointment
The cancellation policy for the appointment is determined by the merchant offering the deal, so as long as you follow it, you can cancel a BeautyNow appointment at any moment during the cancellation window for a full refund.
You can do so by clicking on a link in the email that confirms your appointment, or by using the mobile app (available for Android or iOS).
Simply follow these instructions to use the app:
- Open the app and use it to log into your Groupon account.
- Click on My Stuff then followed by My Beauty Appointments.
- Tap on the appointment you wish to cancel
- Select Cancel Appointment / Cancel Request form
